Ex-Whalers Monument
The Ex-whalers Association and Enviroglass commissioned Nortech Marine to assist them in finishing a monument to the whalers planned for the Victoria Pier in Lerwick.
Due to Health and Safety requirements, the stainless steel artwork for the base stone slabs had to be recessed into the surface. The only way to achieve this was to cut the artwork outline in the prefabricated glass slabs with a waterjet.
